About Our Practice
About Dr. Wong

I'm a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery. I'm originally from Short Hills, NJ and came to Washington, D.C. for my residency training at George Washington University.
I chose to study ophthalmology for its wide-ranging impact on our quality of life, since studies show that the overwhelming majority of people choose vision as their most valued sense. I decided to pursue additional education of the retina because it plays such a vital role in our sight by forming the images that we see. There is no replacement or transplant for the retina (at least, not yet!), so we must learn to take good care of it.
I completed fellowship at University of California, Davis and returned to serve as Associate Residency Program Director at GWU. I continue to participate in resident education and am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology.
Given my academic background, I remain rooted in evidence-based medicine. I draw from my clinical experience and scientifically proven research to guide treatment decisions.
Finally, I live in Maryland with my husband, Ben, and our three children. In my spare time, I enjoy mystery novels, hiking, and amusement parks.
